6th Grade Cross Timbers Middle School Cotillion 2026

What is Cotillion?
Cotillion is a social and educational program designed to teach young people essential life skills, including proper etiquette, social interaction, and dance. It helps students gain confidence and prepares them for future social events.

Why is Cotillion Important?

  • Social Skills: Cotillion provides a foundation for young students to interact politely and confidently with peers and adults.
  • Etiquette Lessons: Each session includes valuable lessons on manners, dining etiquette, and social graces, taught by special guest speakers.
  • Dance Education: Students learn various dance styles from former Chicago Bulls Dancer/Dance instructor/GHS Parent, Mrs. April Slappa, both with and without partners, enhancing their social skills and confidence on the dance floor.

Themed Nights for Extra Fun!
Each evening will feature a different theme, encouraging students to express their creativity through themed attire while learning about the importance of dressing appropriately for social occasions.
